The Season Kicked Off With Great Weather

Whenever you schedule a car show in this part of the country, especially along the river valley, in April, it's a major crap shoot as to what kind of weather you'll get. But this year's car show season kick off event held by the Green Township VFW Post 10380 on the campus of the Diamond Oaks Career Center was a pleasant surprise. Though there had been a prediction of some rain which may have scared off a few folks, none came. And though it was windy, the temperature was well above normal. The turn out for the event was fine as well with over 60 nice vehicles showing off. Among them was a first generation Ford Thunderbird, a street rod that started life as a 1934 Ford coupe, a Chevy Nova Super Sport, a fourth generation or C4 Chevy Corvette, a restomod Chevy sedan, a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass, a 1966 Fairlane, and a 1963 Pontiac Bonneville convertible.
