Bel Air Was Headin' For the Hill


 Chevrolet introduced the full size Bel Air in 1950, originally as a trim to the Fleetline and Styleline models. In 1953 the entire Chevy line was re-named and Bel Air became their halo model, sitting atop the company's line up of automobiles. It was the second generation of the Bel Air, the so-called Tri 5 models from 1955 through 1957 that became massively popular back then and continue to make good showings at old car events across the country. That was true at this past summer's Headin' For the Hill event in North College Hill. Here are some of the Bel Air autos that were on hand.
