Ponies Trotted Into Fernbank

The Ford Mustang lent its name to the cars classified as Pony Cars. These were cars that were sporty or performance based, generally aimed at the younger market. The cars featured long hoods and a short deck lid. While the Mustang was by far the most popular it actually wasn't the first. The Plymouth Barracuda beat it to market by two whole weeks. Still, the Mustang became an instant success and continues to be an iconic automobile. That's one reason why there were so many on hand for the 34th Rollin' On the River Charity Car Show held in beautiful Fernbank Park. Here are just some of the 'Stangs that were on hand for this event.
