The First TRs

The story goes that executives at Triumph wanted a sporty car that could compete against the Morgan. They made a couple of experimental models and from those came what would be known as the TR2. First shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 1953 the TR 2 set the standard for the TR series for many years. The TR 2 was quickly replaced by the TR 3 in 1955. the TR 3 stayed in production through 1962.
