An Event That's Off the Beaten Path

The Alexandria Fair Grounds, home of the 6th Annual Ronnie Cobb Memorial Car and Bike Show, is a little off the beaten path for a lot of folks. It isn't really hard to find and, to be honest, it's not that far out of the city but it's just off in a direction a lot of folks don't always travel. That didn't stop a host of great cars from showing up for this year's event. Included in the field was an old Plymouth that had been chopped by the owner's grandfather. This is a really cool car in that it has a 1991 Corvette drive train and the roof is from a Ford pick-up truck; but grandpa flipped it so that the back edge of the roof is now the front of the hot rod. This car has been featured in numerous car magazines. Also on the field was a Chevy Nova, a 1951 Chevy DeLuxe, a Don Yenko Nova, an El Camino, a Ford Mustang LX, and a Pontiac GTO.
