Still Celebrating the 4th Of July

The Anderson Township 4th of July parade has traditionally been the largest in the region. This year the parade was shortened to just about an hour but that didn't hinder some amazing vehicles from taking part. Here to prove that there is more than one kind of horse power is a beautifully restored horse drawn wagon that was originally used by the Kroger company when it was a fledgling grocer. Also in the parade was a Ford Mustang convertible, a Volkswagen Beetle convertible, a couple of retired US Army Jeeps, a horse drawn wagon promoting urban farming (our little garden is getting close to producing some nice tomatoes, peppers, beans and more), and in honor of the cicada infestation we just lived through in this part of the world, the local park district brought along a couple. Happy Independence Day.
