There Was Some MoPar Metal in Lawrenceburg

While Ford and especially Chevy tend to dominate the entries of most open car shows, it's always refreshing to see a good contingent of cars from the Chrysler Corporation. These MoPar machines got their designation from the company's Motor Parts division and through the 60s and 70s turned out some very impressive and powerful vehicles. The Plymouth Barracuda was one of the most highly touted. Debuting in 1964, it technically was the first Pony Car to hit the market, beating the Ford Mustang by a couple of weeks. The 'Cuda seen here, on display along with these others at the Cruisin' For A Cure For ALS show in Lawrenceburg, featured the rare Shaker hood option that was only available in 1970 and 1971. Other MoPar cars on display at the show included a 1967 Barracuda, a couple of Plymouth GTX models, a Dodge Challenger, and more.
