Shortly after the end of the Second World War, foreign made automobiles began to trickle into the United States. Much of this was due to the fact that American soldiers had become fascinated with the cars and trucks they saw primarily in Europe but also in Japan. Within a couple of decades the trickle had become a steady stream and more and more foreign imports were traveling down American roads. The 46th Cincinnati Concours d'Elegance had a regular class for these Collector Foreign automobiles including a 1967 Amphicar, a West German automobile that was both a car and a boat and of the nearly 4000 that were made only about 600 survive. Also on display in Ault Park was a 1966 Mercedes Benz 200D, a 1952 Mercedes Benz 220 Cabriolet, a very rare 1967 Gilbern Genie which is one of only two in the USA and one of only 40 to still exist that was made by the only automaker ever from Wales, a 1971 Mercedes Benz 280 SE 3.5 coupe, and a 1958 Swedish made Saab 93B.
