More Corvettes At the Glendale Gathering

The annual Glendale Gathering has always brought in a large number of Chevy Corvettes. The Vettes even have their own designated area down a side street of the square. Here are some of the Vettes that were on display at this year's event.

The Glendale Gathering Attracts All Kinds

 One of the great things about any open car show is that you never know what kinds of cars and trucks will show up. The Glendale Gathering is no exception and this year's event brought a nice variety of vehicles. Among those on display was a 1956 Ford Galaxie 500 Xi, a new Jeep Willys, a Pontiac GTO, a Shelby Cobra GT 500, and a Cadillac convertible.

More Foreign Imports At the Glendale Gathering

Since there are so many people who are part of the Cincinnati Concours d'Elegance that are behind the Glendale Gathering's annual car show there are a lot of high quality vehicles that show up to this event. Every year there is an exceptional number of foreign cars on display and this year's event was no different. On hand was a 1959 Triumph TR3A, a 2005 Morgan Aero 8, a Lotus Elan S2, a 1972 Volkswagen Beetle, and a Jaguar XJS.

 The Glendale Gathering is always a fun show because of the many great automobiles that are on display. While the event features nearly as many imported vehicles as American made cars and trucks, there is one iconic nameplate that always has its own large selection, Chevrolet Corvette. Here are the Vettes that were on display at the recent Gathering, including a very nice first generation or C1 model.

Better Weather For This Year's Glendale Gathering

Last year's Glendale Gathering was pretty much of a wash out. Rain fell and kept people away in droves. This year, while there was rain in the early morning, it cleared in time for about 60 amazing vehicles to roll in and take part. Among them was a 1959 Chrysler 300 E, a 1954 Mercury Monterey Sun Valley, a not at all stock Chevy race car, a Ford Model T, a T bucket rat rod, a 1932 Chrysler, and a first generation Ford Mustang.

Foreign Cars At the Glendale Gathering

Every year the Glendale Gathering brings out a large number of foreign automobiles. Part of this is due to the connection between the folks behind this event and the Cincinnati Concours d'Elegance. In fact, the judges for Gathering's car show are all concours judges or are on the selection committee. This makes the Gathering something of a mini-concours. And you can see it in the quality of the vehicles on display such as a 1969 Jaguar E Type which is aptly painted in British Racing Green, a 1975 Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 which a previous owner re-badged as a Ferrari but originally worn the Dino label, a Porsche GT3 RS, a Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible, and an Austin Healey 3000.

The Glendale Gathering

 The Glendale Gathering is an annual event in the historic city of Glendale, OH, which was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1997. The Gathering features a number of things to bring attention to this quaint village but the morning centers around a car show which raises money for the town's first responders and is hosted by many of the same people behind the Cincinnati Concours d'Elegance. Among the more than 60 vehicles that came out for this year's edition was a Ford Mustang, a 1932 Ford High Box roadster, a Jeep CJ-7, a Dodge Coronet, a 1967 Chevy Nova, a 1955 Bel Air, and a 1957 Chevy Handyman.

Wrapping Up the Police Charity Show

Today we're wrapping up the Lakeside Park Crestview Hills Police Department Charity Car Show. Held on the campus of Thomas More University, this show benefits a number of local charities sponsored by the police department. This year it managed to draw in nearly 100 vehicles. Among them was a AMC AMX, a first generation Ford Mustang, a Ford Galaxie XL, a newer Mustang, a 1955 Chevy Bel Air, a Nova, a Chevelle, and a 1969 Dodge Dart Swinger.
