Racers On Dispaly At the Cincinnati Concours

Every year the Cincinnati Concours d'Elegance has a class for race cars of all generations. The recent 46th annual event held on a beautiful day in Alt Park brought an impressive group to the starting line. Among them was a 1972 Ford RS2600 Werks race car, a 1929 Packard Jesse Vincent Speedster which is the only one of its kind built and actually got up to 129 MPH, a 1951 Baldwin Special Roadster which was the third of four ever built but is the only one remaining, a 2015 Michael Brown Land Speed Record Belly Tanker which currently holds the land speed record for the mile in its class at just over 210 MPH, a 1933 Miller dubbed "The Red Lion" and once driven by Ernie Triplet, Al Gordon and Shorty Cantlin, a 1959 Judd Phillips Sprint Car which in 1964 finished in the top four in 22 of 24 races, a 1980 Hopkins Lightning Indy Car built specifically to run in the 500, and a 1951 Elva MKVII which was recently rebuilt in England by the manufacturer.
