Beautiful Machines on a Beautiful Spring Day

This past Sunday was a beautiful spring day, one of those days that hints of the heat and humidity of the coming summer but that still washes you with cool breezes. It was the perfect day to wander through Ault Park and enjoy the amazing cars gathered as part of the 35th Annual Concours d'Elegance.
The Ault Park Concours is one of the oldest automobile shows in the country. It also serves as a fundraiser for the Arthritis Foundation through not only the admission to the show but also with various other events over the weekend such as a dinner, party, countryside cruise and, this year, a raffle to send five people on an exclusive tour to visit Jay Leno's Big Dog Garage.
While the various fundraising events are wonderful, the huge crowd of people show up each year to see the cars and other vehicles on display, lined up by category as if this were an art museum. Indeed, all of these beautiful machines are works of art and each, in its own way, is worthy of a place in a museum. Here is another random sampling of some of the cars that were on display at this year's event. I'm sure there is a work of art that will pounce on your senses.
