Between the Wars

          Between the two World Wars was an amazing time for growth in the United States. Manufacturing had come of age as first Henry Ford and then others developed better, more efficient ways of using the assembly line to turn out their products. But in the automotive industry, while the assembly line proved to be beneficial for making cars for the masses, many of the grand marques of the time building beautiful works of art.
          While Ford was upping their standards with the Model A, companies like Franklin, Auburn, Packard, Peerless and Marmon were making some amazing vehicles. Even current household names such as Chrysler and Cadillac were turning out some of the finest and most luxurious automobiles of their time.
          Beginning with a couple of Model As, here are some of the finest automobiles that were made during those years between the wars. This includes the last vehicle shown, a 1936 Terraplane Lapress Cab Truck that won Best in Class at this year's 35th Annual Ault Park Concours d'Elegance.
