The Most Beautiful Cars of All Time

I normally don't post these kinds of things in this blog but I came across this on line and shared it with a car group and it generated quite a bit of debate. So now I'm curious it anyone here wants to weigh in on this topic. Which of these do you agree with and which do you think don't belong. And which cars that you think belong are missing? Here's the link to the Yahoo story: http://autos.yahoo.com/news/the-10-most-beautiful-cars-of-all-time.html?page=1

  1. Yeah, no. Corvette, Jaguar, Ferrari, ok. But that Aston Martin is just plain homely. I think this is a list of "cars some guy dreamed about when he was 13 years old." Also, they're mostly too much alike. Where are the old Rolls? The vintage Bugatti?

  2. All of them are from pretty much the same era and it looks like the people who made it didn't want to offend anyone. You have three from the US, three from Italy, two from the UK and two from Germany. My first comment was in regard to the Ferrari 275. Yes, a pretty car but when the Jaguar E Type came out Enzo Ferrari called it the most beautiful car in the world and then turned to design house Scagliatti to make the 275 which looks an awful lot like an E Type. So should a car that copies be there? And you're right with the Aston Martin. They've made more beautiful cars but that one was pretty much pedestrian. Besides, it was a design by committee which generally isn't the way to go.

  3. I think a gt40 ford is awesome, but not beautiful. I think a Studebaker hawk would be in the class before a gt40. also the old packards and nashs also should be considered

  4. I agree with your assessment of the GT40. It was built to compete with the Ferraris at the time and looks a lot like the 288/308 of that era. Also, the Hawk is a brilliantly beautiful car. So are some of the Nash and Packards. There's a lot of earlier cars that should be considered. What about the Stutz?
