A New Car Season Begins

While there are small shows and cruise-ins that have been going on in my area for months, not to mention the year round Coffee and Cars event, the last Sunday in May always marks the "official" beginning to the car show season. This year marked the 36th Annual Sharonville Chamber of Commerce Classic Car Show.

The city closes half of the historic Loop, the center of town that serves as a main, old style business district, and fills it each year with cars. I was told that 233 cars registered but, unfortunately, because of cloudy skies and the promise of afternoon rain (which started falling at about 12:30), not everyone showed up. But the cars that did turn out were well received by an enthusiastic crowd.
