Our Annual Ault Park Concours de Elegance

This weekend is the annual Ault Park Concours de Elegance. This is the 36th year of this event which raises money for the Arthritis Foundation. This year promises to be as exciting as all of those in the past with hundreds of unbelievable classic cars showing up.

The Concours features cars in 13 classes ranging from antiques through current, future classics. There are also six featured theme classes and three special display classes. All draw a collection of invited automobiles that have to meet the highest standards.

Featured this year is Porsche with a look at all of its automotive history, both road cars and race cars. Also featured this year, in honor of its 100th year, is Aston Martin. As part of this display they are showing the actual DB5 that was used in the movie Goldfinger.

The other special display is in honor of the 60th anniversary of the Corvette, featuring a number of classic cars from throughout their history. Most likely by the time you read this I will have already begun my Concours weekend (weather permitting) as Adam Boca of the National Corvette Museum will have given me a turn in a rare 1963 Z06 Vette. Yeah, that will be Monday's post.

The pictures posted here are from Concours events past but starting next week and probably for a couple of weeks after that I will be posting pictures and stories of the cars and owners from this great event. Then throughout the rest of the year I will most likely be adding more posts of these amazing cars.
