Stories

As I've mentioned before, part of the fun of going to shows is talking with the people there and trading stories. At the recent Annual Glen Este Classic Car Show I had the opportunity to talk with Tom Rupp, the owner of the beautiful 1931 Ford Coupe shown here and co-owner of the 1931 Ford panel van with his brother. Tom was talking about an earlier four door '30s Ford he used to own. He would often take it to retirement homes and loved to hear the stories the residents would tell, remembrances of times gone by. On one occasion a daughter wheeled her mother out to look at the car. When the mother looked in through the open doors she turned to her daughter and said, "You were conceived in a car just like this." Ah, memories.
