Camaros Came to Help Fight ALS

In 1966, in order to try to compete with the incredible success Ford was having with its Mustang, Chevy introduced the Camaro. It was originally code named Panther while in development. Legend has it that when it was introduced to the automotive press someone asked exactly what a Camaro was. One witty marketing exec allegedly replied, "A vicious creature that eats Mustangs." While the quote was great the Camaro never fully overtook its Ford pony car competitor it still had a strong run with four generations (pictured above is a gen 3 model) through 2002 and was revived in 2010. It is now in its sixth generation. There were a number of great Camaros at the 6th Cruisin' For a Cure For ALS show in Lawrenceburg. Here are a few.
