Wrapping It Up In Morrow....For Now

Ford had the Lincoln and General Motors had the Cadillac. These were the luxury models from Detroit's Big Three automakers. Chrysler, back then, did not have a separate luxury marque. So, in 1955, it created the Imperial. The Imperial was a stand alone brand through 1975 and was revised for a couple of years in 1983 before becoming a Chrysler model. Seen here is a 1964 second generation model, known as the Series VY-1 which were the first designed by Elwood Engel rather than the legendary Virgil Exner. Not many are seen these days because not that many were sold. This one was at Bryson's 8th Annual Car Show held at the Morrow Arts Center in support of the Salem Morrow Fire Department. Though there were plenty of other cars and trucks at this show, this is the last post, at least for now. More will follow. As always, feel free to let me know what you think by leaving a comment (no ads, please) or dropping me an email at turnerbudds@yahoo.com

Other vehicles at the show included a Chevy Corvair, a 1967 Ford Fairlane, a Chevelle with the Malibu trim package (that's right, the Malibu was originally a trim before becoming a standalone model), a Bronco, a Chevelle Super Sport, and a 1968 Dodge Dart Swinger.
