The Older Generation

The other day I posted a bunch of pictures of cars from the 1940s and 1950s from the St. Antoninus Cub Scout Pack 614 Car Show. Today I thought I'd go a little further back in time and show some of the oldest cars that were on display at that great show. In addition to some really nice rides from the 1930s, there was also a classic Model A and a 1925 Model T on display. Hope you enjoy these pieces of automotive history.

  1. Hi, just going through old car photos trying to ID a car make and model year in an old family photo. The car is almost identical to a photo of yours in the Thursday July 12, 2012 Blog about The Older Generation. Your photo is the 5th from the blog's top, a grey car body with black fenders, red wheel rims and chrome hub caps. A man with a baseball hat is standing behind. I believe it to be a Buick, 1935 to 1938, but the front turn signal placement is unlike any other picture I have seen. Can you further ID this car for me?

    1. Apparently it is a 1936 Buick, according to pix seen on Pinterest. The family photo I have was taken before 1945, likely in Southern Ontario (probably in Cobourg) and the car was likely made in the Oshawa plant of GM.
