American Performance at Keeneland

Muscle cars by any other name always are a hot draw. At the Keeneland Concours d'Elegance the class containing muscle cars is called American Performance and this year it brought out some exquisite automobiles including this 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS.

Also part of this class was a 1958 Studebaker Golden Hawk which was one of only 878 built that year, a 1970 Buick GSX which was one of only 190 built that year with a four speed, a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T SE, a 1968 Shelby GT500 KR Convertible which was one of only 57 with the 428 Cobra Jet and four speed, the Best in Class winning 1969 Chevy Camaro Z 28 that had been in the same family for 43 years and had been given to the current owner when he was five, a 1969 Ford Torino 429 Cobra Jet, and a 1969 Pontiac GTO convertible.
