Buicks Made A Showing At the Pumpkin Run

Founded in 1899 by David Dunbar Buick, Buick is one of the oldest automobile companies in North America. It was also an early and integral part of General Motors, fitting just below Cadillac as an upscale GM product. When GM was facing the need to close down some of its divisions there were calls to keep the very popular Pontiac and shutter Buick but the rich history of the line kept it alive and it's still going fairly strong today. Over the years Buick has turned out a number of highly collectible vehicles which is why so many were on hand for the 46th Annual Pumpkin Run Nationals held recently at the Clermont County Fair Grounds.Among those on display was a 1939 Special Eight Model 41, a war era sedan, a 1972 Spirit station wagon, a 1969 Gran Sport, a Riviera, and a Skylark convertible.
