Generations of Vettes Were On Hand At Rollin' On the River

Chevrolet introduced the Corvette in 1953 in order to compete against the many sports cars that were flooding the American market from Europe, primarily England. The car has been a huge success. Now in its eighth generation, which was released in 2020, the cars have a different way of designation. Those first generation cars, the ones from 1953 through 1962 are referred to as C1 cars. The C2 Vettes ran from 1963 through 1967. The radically re-styled C3 versions ran from 1968 through 1982. There was a slight hitch in model years as production of the Corvette was moved from St. Louis to its current home in Bowling Green, KY in mid 1981. 1984 saw the release of the C4 version, the one see at the top of this page. It ran until the end of 1996. The C5 Vette's lifespan was from 1997 until 2004. This was followed in 2005 by the C6 which lasted until the end of the 2013 model year. The C7 ran from 2014 until 2019. And now we are in the C8 generation. There were plenty of Vettes from a lot of generations on hand at the Rollin' On the River Show. Here are some.
