It was April 17, 1964, a mere 16 days after Plymouth introduced the Barracuda, that Ford bestowed onto the world the Mustang. Aimed at a younger, sportier market but based on the old Falcon, the Mustang, with its long nose and short trunk, would spawn what was known as the pony car. You wonder what would have happened if the Barracuda had been the surprise runaway sales leader in the class. Would that class of automobile been called the "fish car" or some other aquatic sobriquet? In any case, the Mustang became a national and world wide sensation that never ceased production. That's why there are always a nice selection that roll into old car events. Such was the case for the 18th City of Blue Ash and the Untouchables Classic Car Show. Held in Chamberlain Park on a hot, sweltering day, the event drew in excess of 100 vehicles. Here are some of the Mustangs that were on hand.
