More Fabulous Cars Lined the Streets of Lawrenceburg

Perfect early May weather brought out more than 1000 fabulous vehicles for the Sixth Annual Cruisin' To A Cure For ALS show in Lawrenceburg. One of them was a wonderful example of the Chevrolet Corvair. When Chevy introduced the Corvair in 1960 it trying to stave off the onslaught of the Volkswagen Beetle. Unfortunately the Corvair, America's first rear engine mounted car, ran into the public relations nightmare caused by Ralph Nader and the book Unsafe At Any Speed and never lasted to make it to the 1970 model year. This very clean model was just one of the great cars on display. Others included an Impala, a 1956 Ford Ranch Wagon, a Chevelle, a Camaro, a Monte Carlo, and plenty more.
