Mustangs Went Headin't For the Hill

 

Because of his partnership with Ford on a number of various projects such as using the famed 289 cubic inch V8 initially as the power plant for the Shelby Cobra, Carroll Shelby took a standard Ford Mustang in 1965 and turned it into a mean street machine. The result was the Shelby Cobra. Ford eventually took over all of the work and released the GT-350 and then the GT-500. Shown above is a GT-500 which was one of many Ford Mustangs that rolled into North College Hill to take part in the Headin' For the Hill show. Here are some  of the Ponies that were on display.
