The history of the Mustang was celebrated at this year's Dayton Concours d'Elegance and a number of classes were presented. The performance model Mustangs had their own class and consisted of some spectacular ponies. This 1970 Mach 1 caught my eye right away.
In addition the Performance Mustang class included this original owner 1969 model, a 1965 GT Fastback that was rated at 140 MPH, a 1969 Mach 1 SCJ with a 428 cubic inch Super Cobra Ram Jet Air power plant, a 1965 GT 500 with 525 horse power, and a 1970 Boss 302. There were also a couple of Shelbys that spruced up the lawn, a pair of 1968 GT 350s.
