Wrapping Up the Studebaker National Museum

If you have been following my exploration of the Studebaker National Museum (http://www.studebakermuseum.org/) in South Bend, Indiana this week then you have seen me reference the fact that there are over 120 cars in the museum's collection. You have also seen that I said only about 70 cars can be on display at any given time. Don't think that if you visit the museum you will miss out on over 50 great cars, though.

All you have to do is travel to the museum's basement where 40 vehicles are kept in what the museum refers to as visual storage. They aren't all set up nice and neat with their signs telling of their significance. They are in storage, after all, resting on racks and waiting for their turn in the spot light. But you can walk down there and take a look for yourself. It's just one more great example of how the Studebaker National Museum is set up to provide visitors with a full immersive experience.

So whether you're a fan of Studebaker or just a classic car enthusiast, it is well worth it to take a drive to South Bend and check out the Studebaker National Museum.
