When you name an automobile after one of the most posh and wealthiest neighborhoods of Los Angeles, you are obviously trying to make a statement. That's what Chevrolet did with their full size Bel Air sedans. Beginning in 1950 as a two door hard top, it is the second generation, those 1955 through 1957 models, the so-called Tri Five cars, that are most often seen at old car events. That was no different at the 48th Annual Pumpkin Run Nationals where there was a nice selection of Bel Airs among the over 2600 cars and trucks that rolled into the Cleremont County Fair Grounds for the event. Here are some of those Chevy sedans that were on hand.
