Cold Spring played host to the 1200 Car Club's car show which raised money to benefit the Scottish Rite. With near perfect July weather the show drew in around 50 very nice vehicles. Among them was a 1964 Imperial. Between 1955 and 1975 the Chrysler Corporation went head-to-head with the likes of Cadillac and Lincoln with their luxury line, Imperial. In all five generations of the Imperial marque were made and sold. The car seen here is a late second generation model. Eventually Imperial lost its status as a stand-alone line and became the name of Chrysler's halo car. Also in the parking lot for the show was a Chevy Corvette, a Dodge Challenger R/T, a one owner, all original Oldsmobile Hurst that the owner bought right after high school graduation, another Vette, and a 1969 Charger R/T complete with that hot HEMI engine.
