Customizing cars has been around pretty much since the beginning of the automobile. It really began to take off following World War II when young men not only had the money but the knowledge of how to turn an old car or truck into something new and vibrant. Much of initially dealt with "hopping" up the engine, making an old car go faster. Today there are all kinds of different custom touches ranging from the "restomod" that may appear to be a stock vehicle but has changes such as brakes, a new engine, suspension, etc. that are not noticeable, to basically creating a whole new vehicle. The 33rd Annual Rollin' On the River Car Show sponsored by the Delhi Kiwanis saw a nice collection of customs and hot rods on the lawn. Here are just a few of them.
