Ransom E. Olds founded the Olds Motor Vehicle Company in 1897 and his first car was called the Oldsmobile. He left the company in 1904 and started the REO Motor Car Company which had a famous vehicle called the Speedwagon. It's where the band got its name. Like many other auto makers, Olds became part of the growing General Motors company, fitting in as a mid-priced line. In the early 2000s Oldsmobile became a victim of GM's consolidation and they stopped rolling Olds automobiles off the line in 2004. But a number of amazing cars had been made and a nice selection were on hand for the 33rd Annual Rollin' On the River Car Show at Fernbank Park sponsored by the Delhi Kiwanis. Among them was a beautiful 1957 Series 88 convertible, a 1978 Cutlass convertible, a 1968 Cutlass convertible, a 1956 Holiday, and some 442 models, including a 1965 convertible.
