Vintage Cars at Keeneland

The Keeneland Concours d'Elegance was held in sweltering heat this year, as opposed to last year when it rained, but that didn't keep people away. One of the most viewed classes was the Vintage From 1925-1949. This featured a 1926 Ford Model T Tudor which was purchased in Indonesia by the current owners before bringing to the States and giving it a complete restoration.

Also on the lawn was a beautiful 1940 Packard One Sixty Super Eight which was powered by a 356 cubic inch eight cylinder L-head engine that generated 160 horse power, a 1932 Nash 1073 Standard 8 Convertible Sedan which was powered by a flathead eight cylinder that produced 85 horses, a 1930 Essex Super Six Coach which was purchased new for $945 by the current owner's grandfather, a 1940 Ford DeLuxe Convertible which has won numerous awards at Concours and Ford events around the Midwest, a 1930 Chrysler Model 66 Coupe which was one of only 12 built that year, a 1932 Chevrolet Confederate Series BA Phaeton which is one of only 419 of this model made, and a 1949 DeSoto Custom S-43 which sported a "modern" post-war design.
