The best open classic and vintage vehicle events are the ones that bring in a wide variety of vehicles. The 17th Annual Cruise-In For Our Youth event held at the Amelia Masonic Lodge in support of the West Clermont scholarship fund did just that. For example, here is a 1950 Oldsmobile Futurematic Holiday 88. Since this was technically a mid-sized car that sported a powerful Rocket 88 V8 engine it can be argued that this was actually the very first muscle car. Because of its size and power the car did extremely well on the NASCAR circuit and even spawned a song by Jackie Brenston and his Delta Cats (Rocket 88, which was the first rock and roll song about a car). Also on display was a pair of mid-century Chevy pick up trucks, a 1955 Ford Fairlane, a C7 Corvette, a 1963 C2 Vette, a 1964 Mustang convertible, and a 1967 Mustang convertible.
