The town of Glendale, OH is part of the National Historic Registry. Quaint is the term that comes to mind as you drive through the tree-lined streets. Each year the center of town plays host to the Glendale Gathering. This event isn't the biggest car show in the region nor is it the most outrageous. But it has developed a reputation for bringing in a great variety of some very special and spectacular old cars. This year's even, while hampered a bit by morning rain that turned the afternoon into a hot and steamy sauna, still managed to bring in about 70 great rides. Among them was a 1957 Chevrolet 210 Handyman, a 1937 Plymouth Business Coupe, a Ford Thunderbird, a retired GMC bus that had served the Central Ohio Transit Authority, a 1955 Ford Fairlane, a 1958 Chevy Bel Air, a 1950 Studebaker Champion, and a custom Ford coupe.
