The Weather Co-Operated for the 17th Annual Cruise-In For Our Youth

Following days of rain and a number of weekends that saw at least one of those days washed out, the weather broke for the 17th Annual Cruise-In For Our Youth. Held to raise money for the West Clermont High School scholarship fund, the event was held at the Amelia Masonic Lodge on a typical hot and sticky summer day. Among the cars on display was a beautiful second generation 1973 Pontiac Trans Am. Introduced in 1969 as a special trim for the Firebird, the Trans Am was selected to be the official pace car of the 1980 Indianapolis 500 and twice for the Daytona 500. Also on display was a 1957 Ford Fairlane, a 1971 Buick Skylark GSX, a 1979 Trans Am, a 1955 Oldsmobile Holiday Rocket 88, a 1974 Mustang, a 1963 Econoline pick up, and a 1935 Chevy sedan.
