A few years back, a friend of mine who organizes a very successful charity car show explained to me why he allows modern cars to be on display. The explanation made sense. He said first and foremost his event is there to raise money for a charity and the more vehicles that show up the more money they raise. He also pointed out that a lot of the owners of the new cars that roll in are friends of people with more vintage vehicles. If the new car isn't allowed in then the owner of the vintage car may decide not to show as well. Luckily the 14th Annual Syrian Shrine Car Show, which raises money for the Shrine Hospital, allows the more modern cars to roll on in and some nice ones did. Among them was a 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, a Ford Thunderbird convertible, a Mercedes Benz AMG V8 Biturbo roadster, another SRT Hellcat, and a 2015 Cadillac CTS=V.
