Time For the Glendale Gathering

The Glendale Gathering is an annual event that promotes this historic village and centers around one of my favorite car shows. Glendale is actually one of the first examples of a planned community and is now in the National Historic Registry. One day each June a group of car enthusiasts put on a show that draws some of the coolest vehicles around. Among those at this year's even was a Shelby GT 350 signed by Carroll himself. Also, sitting right next to that, was a Shelby GT 500, also signed by the man.

Other amazing vehicles on display included a Dodge Shelby Charger (yes, Carroll worked with Dodge at one time), a 1957 Chevy Bel Air station wagon, a 1969 Opel GT, a 1957 Ford Thunderbird, and a well worn Chevelle.
