The 1965 Mustang really was a game changer. Often referred to as the 1964 ½ because it was released in April of 1964, this is the car that created the “pony car” genre.
Bob Tindall’s 65 pony is a classic red that shows off the lines the way they were meant to be seen. This car found a youth market with its sporty looks and affordable list price which started at under $2400. Ford sold nearly 1.3 million of these cars in just two and a half years, making it one of the biggest introductions of a car to come out of Detriot.
Bob’s ‘Stang has pristine tan interior which, with the horse inlayed in the leather, was one of the coolest features you could have. His is an automatic with the optional tachometer and air conditioning but it’s still all Mustang.
