Corvettes Rolled Into DeVou Park

The Chevrolet Corvette is one of America's most iconic automobiles. Introduced in 1953 during a time when European sports cars were coming to this country, the Corvette was named after the smallest class of warship. The Vette had to overcome some initial problems as many felt the car was underpowered with its 235 cubic inch inline six cylinder Blue Flame engine. That was corrected two years later when a 265 cubic inch V8 was offered. Now in its eighth generation (C8), the Corvette can be seen at just about every type of car event. For the initial DeVou Park Concours d'Elegance, the Vette had its own special class and featured examples from numerous generations. Here are the Corvettes that were on hand.
